Brazilian footballer Dani Alves has just become one of the biggest Social Media star.
The Barcelona defender has unwittingly turned a normal act of eating a banana into a worldwide unofficial anti-racism campaign on the internet.
Last sunday, at the second half of a football match between Barcelona and Villareal, a spectator threw a banana at Alves- who was preparing himself to do a corner kick.
But to everyone’s amazement, instead of making a huge fuss about it, Alves simply took the banana. Peeled it. Then ate it. Just like that.
His responds received praise worldwide, and sparkled a large social media campaign against racism.
Footballers all over the world are showing their supports by continuously posting pictures of themselves, eating a banana.
It started from Neymar, then Sergio Kun Aguero, to Luis Suarez, and even Phillip Coutinho. They are all showing their supports by joining the social media campaign using the hashtag #WeAreAllMonkeys.
So. Would you like to join them and have some banana? 😊🍌
